NDRI is an independent, non-profit, and leading think tank in Nepal dedicated to addressing the contemporary and emerging challenges through quality research for evidence-based policy and programming.  

As part of its Livelihood and Food Security Program, NDRI, with the support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Food Safety, is currently engaged in a project titled “Climate–Migration–Health Nexus (CMHN) Scoping Study.” As part of the project’s primary data collection process, NDRI is hiring qualified field enumerators who will be responsible for conducting questionnaire surveys. 

The survey will be conducted in selected districts of Nepal and will focus on the interconnections between climate change, migration, and health, including the health impacts of climate change among local and internally displaced populations, as well as the health conditions and experiences of foreign migrant workers. 

The anticipated duration of the field survey is up to two weeks. NDRI intends to recruit a maximum of twelve (12) field enumerators for this assignment.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Conduct quantitative household surveys using tablet-based KoboToolbox in the selected districts while ensuring sound data quality and adherence to ethical data collection practices. 
• Some enumerators may also be required to support focus group discussions and key informant interviews in the selected districts. 
• A select few enumerators with Public Health or Nursing background may also be assigned for an extended assignment of hospital-based surveys of foreign labor migrants in selected hospitals within Kathmandu Valley.  

Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates meeting the following requirements will be given preference: 

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nursing, Social Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or an equivalent discipline; 
• Previous experience in conducting field surveys or research. Those with experience conducting health-related surveys will be prioritized.; 
• Working knowledge and experience using KoboToolbox or other digital data collection platforms; 
• Ability to communicate in the Achhami/Tharu language will be considered an added advantage; 
• Willingness to travel to and work in remote locations 

Candidates from minority and marginalized communities, as well as qualified female and individuals from underrepresented groups, are strongly encouraged to apply. 

Candidates with knowledge and working experience within the selected districts will be prioritized.

• Certificate of previous work experience (if any)
