Spring water management, agriculture, and resilient livelihoods in the mid-hills of Nepal (SPAN)

The project aims to improve spring water management for inclusive and resilient rural livelihoods in the midhills of Nepal by generating interdisciplinary knowledge, exploring local institutional options, building stakeholder capacity, and communicating research to policy. This project makes this contribution at a time when local communities, especially women and marginalised groups, are feeling the impact of climate change, socioeconomic drivers, and weak governance of springs and aquifers in the midhills, where over 10 million people live and rely on healthy and productive springs as their primary water source.
